We got some exciting things going on @ SouthView this month.

SMALL GROUPS:

MEN- Starting Sept 1^st the men will begin their 6 week study of the “HAZARDS OF BEING A MAN” by Jeffrey E Miller. We will be meeting every other week at the church @ 7pm on Tuesday nights. Even if you are not a fan of reading or sharing your heart in front of a bunch of men, we still encourage you to come out for the fellowship. We know that it’s near impossible to live a righteous life without the help of accountability of other godly men in our lives.  Check out our website for the reading schedule.

WOMEN-Starting on Sept 3^rd the ladies will be meeting every Thursday night and studying “ESTHER: IT’S TOUGH BEING A WOMAN” by Beth Moore. We will be meeting at Holly Belt’s house, and we will start at 6:30pm. Any ladies that have done a Beth Moore study in the past know how special it can be. Don’t worry, we aren’t going to make you share if you don’t want to. Please contact Holly Belt for more details or directions.

WORSHIP NIGHT: If you were part of the last two worship nights @ SouthView, you know how special they can be. Nights like these are designed for the person that loves to worship God. We are starting @ 7pm and will have childcare provided. As in the past, we encourage other families and churches to come be part of this night. You won’t want to miss what God is going to do on nights like these!

THE GIVING TREE : Thanks for all the giving you did for our Back to School Supply Drive. Now for the months of Sept and Oct we will be collecting mittens, scarves, hats, socks, etc.. for our giving tree. These items will be given to the Spring Hill Police Dept to give out to needy children right here in our town. Let’s fill this tree up with items so that no child has to go to school cold.

CANOE TRIP: Men only! On Sept 26^th the men of Southview are taking a 5mile float down the Duck River. We will meet @ the church @ 11:30am.  The price will be $20 per person, UNLESS we get more than 10 guys to attend, then it is $15 per person. So please RSVP and invite all of your mates so we can lock in the lower rate. For those of you who might be interested, we may also do an overnight camping trip the night before with some hiking in the morning. Please see Marc Krejci or sign up on our Ning site to let us know you are coming.

SEPT 27^th – SPECIAL GUEST – ERIC REEDER: We are excited to have Eric as a special guest speaker on Sunday Sept 27^th. With almost 20 years of ministry experience, Eric continues to pursue the heart of God and give himself as a modern-day reformer to see the Kingdom of God expressed at fuller measures within history.  Out of his heart to break the molds of a past season that would desire to restrict generations from their purposes together, he has formed the Breaker Company to serve Kingdom efforts of reformation through generational synergy. Eric currently travels and ministers with Dutch Sheets.

Eric and his wife, Angela, have been married for over 12 years.  They live in Parkersburg, WV, serve in leadership at Valley Harvest Church in Marietta, OH, serve with the Federation of Ministers and Churches International in Dallas, TX as part of the apostolic council, and are founders and team leaders of the Breaker Company.  They have two sons, Ezekiel and Nehemiah.

FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT: On Oct 2^nd we will be hosting a Family Movie Night @ the church. The movie will be MONSTERS VS ALIENS and will start at 7pm. We will supply the popcorn, candy and soda. All you have to do is show up.
