10 Things I learned from teaching in Children’s Church this past Sunday
1-Kids will do anything for candy.
2-They love doing memory verses and are quite good at it.
3-Worship time gets mixed results…kind of like the adults in the sanctuary…some love it, some are hanging out looking around and some wish they could have more candy.
4-They are a lot smarter than you think
5-Kids love to play…don’t make them sit and listen to you speak for 1hr and ½. Even their parents can’t last that long. Let them play and build relationships with other kids. That way they enjoy coming to church.
6-Bathroom trips become an event.
7-They love to color and draw.
8-Kids will do anything for candy!
9-You have a small window in which kids will truly listen to what you are saying….make it count.
10-They are so precious in God’s sight. Don’t forget about how important your Children’s Church is. Continue to invest in it and your leaders back there. They are the future generation and your future leaders.
