Are You Usable?
Most Christians don’t think about that question on a daily basis. Some might not even think about it at all. The question of “Are you Usable to God” should be something we constantly ask ourselves.
Image if David didn’t repent and get his life right before God. Imagine the Psalms we would be missing out on. Imagine the difference his life would have become. Would God have called him “a man after my own heart”? Imagine if Saul didn’t become the new man called Paul. What would the Bible look like, let alone Christianity in general?
I’m a firm believer that if you aren’t usable, God will find somebody that is. He can use someone less talented and gifted than you, to get His work done. God doesn’t need me, but thankfully He chooses to use me. The key to it is our “usability”. If we aren’t right before God we aren’t usable. Sin, fear, lust, doubt, pride and small mindedness are just a few things that can hold us back. It’s not just the so called “big sins” like murder, adultery, drug use, etc that can hold us away from our potential. It’s the secret sins that God looks at as well.
So the question remains “are you usable?”. Do you have your life in check that God can call up your number at any moment? Are you teachable? Do you have a person in your life that helps you stay in check and accountable? Are you living the talk or faking the walk?
How are you with God? Receiving Christ as our savior isn’t the only thing God asks of us. We wants to use us for His glory. He wants people to see His love through you. God loves you and wants more than anything to have a relationship with you…not just be your “get out of hell free” card.
This Sunday we are going to dive deeper into this…time to step up and answer the question. Where are YOU with GOD?
