Worship night on Friday

worship

This Friday night we host our first All Worship night. I’m so excited for this. I’ve grown up in churches where there was an importance put on worshiping God. Worship times were created where we could come together as a church and worship God with no preset agenda. I’ve seen amazing things happen during times like these.

It’s no strange thing that when we make a point to assemble a group of worshipers together, that truly love to give God praise with all that is within them, that God mightily shows up. I’m a strong believer in powerful, anointed worship. Some pastors look at worship as the “warm up act” before their message. Because I led worship I know that this is the furthest from the truth. Worship sets the atmosphere for the message. Worship and Praise is a time for people to get right before God and prepare their hearts for the Word to take root in their soul. In fact, worship has brought me through many crazy times in my life. I couldn’t tell you how many times I have sung my praise to God only to find Him come and lift up my spirit and raise me above the current circumstances. I’ve been to many great concerts and I’ve yet to experience the power that I have in a worship setting.

This Friday night, we have put together a set list, assembled some great musicians and singers (some are from other churches) and rehearsed for the night. The great thing is that we prepare only for God to come and change it all up at any moment. It’s His service and whatever He wants to do that night is up to Him. I love that. I love the expectation of not knowing. I love the power of unified people gathering for worship. I love the fact that other churches are involved (hopefully more in the future).

I want to encourage you to come out to this night. If you love to worship God and want to come to a setting where you can just cry out to Him, dance, kneel, sing real loud and just show God how much He means to you…this night is for you. We even have childcare for your little ones. We start at 730pm but come early if you want to pray.

To God be all the glory!
