Some New Things at SouthView

We have some exciting things to announce at SouthView…

In the Month of March we begin our series entitled “All Things New”. We are excited to see what new things God is going to do not only in our church, but in the lives of those attending. We will also have a good friend of ours, Mark Worton, coming out to share on March 8th. You won’t want to miss this new series that starts Sunday!

Here are a couple of other “NEW” things happening @ SouthView:

SMALL GROUPS:

As many of you already know, we started our small groups in February. It’s been a great time and meeting every other week has allowed us to connect with others & our families on the weeks off. It’s never too late to jump in. For more info check out: www.southviewcommunitychurch.com/small-groups

PRAYER MEETINGS:

We believe strongly in the power of a praying church, so starting in March we are going to offer two times to get together and pray. We know people’s lives are busy and schedules conflict so we will be meeting twice a month, at the church, for prayer with the option of two different meeting times.

Wednesday nights @ 7pm (led by Pastor Mark)

March 4th and 25th

Saturday mornings @ 9am (led by Pastor Jed)

March 7th and 28th

At this present time, we will not be offering child care, but we are offering two different times to help couples to attend on different days. If you would like more info, check here: www.southviewcommunitychurch.com/got-prayer

WORSHIP NIGHT:

One of the passions of SouthView is music! So coming in April, SouthView will be hosting our first ever ALL WORSHIP NIGHT! For those of you that love to worship, this night is for you. We will be opening it up to other churches and friends. This is a great time to see God pour out His anointing through the power of praise and worship. More details to follow…

As always, we meet Every Sunday @ 10am and God has been doing some tremendous things in our new church. We serve an AMAZING God. It says in Revelation 21:5 that He who sits on the throne, the loving creator of all things, will make ALL THINGS NEW. He’ll wipe away every tear. Heal every hurt. And he’ll restore things that have been lost. These are great promises for us to look forward to.

See you at the “View”!

Children’s Church

LeeAnn and I served in our Children’s Church today (I think every Head Pastor needs to do this every so often - it means the world to the kids). You never know how much you appreciate your CC leaders until you go back and serve by watching other people’s kids.

Today was a good day. I got to lead worship for our main service AND our children’s service. There is something amazing when you hear your kids singing worship songs around the house (alot of that starts at children’s church). It takes times like today to impart the power of God’s love into our children so that they can hold firm to the Word as they grow older and need to draw from it.

We got a long way to go in making our CC the top notch place we want it to be at SouthView. We desire it be one of the best places you can take your children to. We do have a great bunch of people that LOVE children and we try our best to provide a safe place for them to be for an hour and 1/2. We also love for them to experience worship and God’s word. No matter the age, kids need to know how much God loves them.

Pray for us as we seek for God’s wisdom as we continue to build our Children’s church. Pray for more great people to come in a help us lead our kids. The way we train up our children now is so important to our future!

Great Thought

Mark Batterson listed a great thought today that I wanted to pass on to you. Got me thinking about my “plans” as well.

“The impact God has planned for us doesn’t occur when we’re pursuing impact. It occurs when we’re pursuing God.”
