Merry Christmas from the Rampullas’
Have a Merry CHRISTmas and enjoy this time with family and loved ones. I believe Jesus enjoys watching us enjoy Christmas. Yes, the true meaning is Christ’s birth, but there is nothing wrong with celebrating it by giving gifts, eating a lot of food, wearing crazy pjs, singing Christmas songs and watching the Christmas Story about a thousand times. Just watch how excited kids are on Christmas day, that’s the kind of excitement we need to have everyday when we live life for the one that has given us everything we need. It’s like Christmas everyday. It’s all about giving praise where praise is due. I love this time of year and more than anything, I love having my whole family together as we celebrate what Christ has done for all of us.
For our Christmas, my parents are here, my sister in laws and my bro will be staying overnight as well and my in laws will be here next week for a bunch of days. I’m also getting ready to help make (and EAT) some Italian Wedding Soup or as we call it ESCAROLE SOUP! Awesome! Can’t wait!
Be Blessed.

Sunday @ the View
This Sunday we have our Christmas service, complete with a full orchestra, live nativity with animals, state of the art lighting and sound and a fully catered spread. You won’t want to miss this….
ok…that’s not entirely true. Ok, actually none of it is, except for that this Sunday IS our Christmas Service. In fact it’s our first service in our new building! We, as a leadership team, are so excited about that. It’s a Christmas present that we all got early. We got the keys on Monday night and it’s official. With that said, this Sunday will be half Christmas service, half celebration party!
I’m so excited for 2009. Meeting every week is going to rock!! We got some great guests coming to speak throughout the year and I guarantee our worship is going to be off the hook. We got a lot of work to do to prepare our new building for 2009, but we’re up for the challenge. LeeAnn and I are going to do our best to make this space look and feel incredible. We want people to walk in and feel like they are at home, minus the LAZ-BOY.
I’ve been hit with the fact that God wants us to enjoy being His kids. I believe that everyday with Christ can feel like Christmas morning. In fact, I’m going to show you how the Bible backs up my belief. God loves you and He loves to bless you. Do you feel like you need an extra encouragement this holiday season…come out on Sunday. And don’t forget to bust out your ugly Christmas Sweaters!
Merry CHRISTmas!

GOT FAITH?
Lately I have been dealing with the pressures of starting a church. Building, money, equipment, people, chairs, helpers, the list of needs go on and on, which makes my concerns make sense to me. The thing that doesn’t make sense though, is not trusting the One who got me here to provide for those needs.
Trust and Faith are two important things in the walk of a person after God’s heart. The Word of God says that “WITHOUT FAITH IT’S IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD”. That’s a pretty strong comment if you ask me. “Impossible” doesn’t leave much room for arguments. Here’s the weird part…most of us think we have a ton of faith. When we go through small trials, we think, that was easy, serving God is a piece of cake. The key is when the “trials” hit you where it counts. When the thing that you hold dear (or maybe too dear) becomes the target of the “trial”, it all of sudden starts to hurt more than normal.
Lately I have found that God has reaffirmed the importance of trusting Him for my provision. When you live in the economy that we live in right now in the US, you have to cling to something that has stability. God is our source of peace and provision. God is your source for your future mate. God is the source for your healing. God is your source for happiness….NOT YOU.
Get it in your head that you will have to trust someone, other than yourself. If you like to control the situation, than this one will be hard for you to do. But giving over complete control to God is really the only way to truly serve Him. Remember, without Faith (that’s the trusting part) it’s IMPOSSIBLE to please (serve) God. Most of us do all the good stuff (going to church, serving the community, loving your family, reading the bible, etc) but we don’t do the ONE THING that’s the most important….COMPLETELY TRUSTING AND SURRENDERING TO HIM and HIS PLAN.
Search your heart and find the areas you might not be willing trust God with. Give it over to him and see how much easier it is to serve Him.
