Some thoughts from Sunday’s service
What a great day Sunday was. I need to download a few thoughts…
1-We had a great 3rd preview service. God was truly in the house. The worship felt really good and I’m so enjoying the feeling I’m getting from these services. I’m glad we started out this way. Not rushing anything but letting God build it.
2-David Belt is my hero. The guy led worship and shared a message with our kids again. We had a total of 22 kids so he was pretty busy. We seemed to strike it rich when it comes to children. I LOVE IT!
3-Lucas Perry did a great job. We have some talent in this church.
4-I LOVED seeing/hearing Pastor Charles and Jane again. It felt like old times but better. I’m so glad our church is part of their ministry. They are mentors and friends to me and LeeAnn. I felt honored to have them Sunday.
5-What a great response to my Vision and Values message. I felt like this was the exact message God wanted me to bring to the church. I wonder why more churches don’t do a message like this at least once a year? People need to know the vision and values that their church has. It’s probably one of the most important messages a new church can preach on. God says that “without a vision, people perish”. I believe our vision and our values aren’t just words, but our purpose. God has and will continue to build SouthView. No doubt about that.
6-We saw a couple come out to our Sunday service that met us at our ComeBack event in Oct. That made it all worth while. Showing people that we love them is the purpose and seeing people respond to it, is the reward!
7-I’m excited to go to 2 services in Dec, and if everything goes to plan, EVERY WEEK in Jan. WOW…God is moving quickly and I’m totally seeing this church grow right before my eyes. What an honor that God has chosen to use me this way.
8-I got to give praise to our AMAZING team of leaders and helpers. They are family to me and one of the main reasons why we are where we are at today. I could not do it without them and thank Jesus for them.
9-My wife is the BOMB. Jumping back into the children’s church to help with all the new kids was great. I COULD NOT DO IT WITHOUT HER…..that goes without saying.
Great 3rd Service…God is good and it’s an honor to serve Him.
